Reiki is a technique used for stress reduction, relaxation and healing. Reiki uses a technique commonly called palm healing as a form of alternative medicine. It is administered through the clients "life force energy". Through this technique practitioners transfer healing energy to balance a clients natural flow. If one's life force energy is low or blocked, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Where and How it Works:
Reiki treats the whole person it works where you need it most whether in the body, emotions, mind or spirit. The benefits include relaxation, the feeling of peace, safety and security, wellbeing, clarity of mind, and physical healing. Many people have reported what appear to be miraculous results.
Just as we have a vascular (veins & arteries), neurological and respiratory system we have an energy system called the Meridians and it is in this energy system that Reiki works. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through your body. Leaving you with a wonderfully relaxed feeling.
What Do You Need To Do?
Be open. You can experience many different feelings during a Reiki session. You may feel warmth or heat. You could see colors or pictures, feel tingling or molecular activity. You may smile, giggle or laugh at what is coming to mind, you may feel the need to shed a few tears, all of these reactions are normal responses to the work going on within your energy system. Many people will fall asleep and some feel the need to sleep after a session. Being open to the energy flow allows the REiki to assist your natural energy levels to recuperate and regain balance.
Reiki Services are for 60 minute appointments or as add-on services for 30 minutes with a 60 minute Grace Custom Massage or 60 minute Deep Tissue Massage.
The Meridian System
The Vibrational Sound Therapy relies on specifically engineered Therapeutic Singing Bowls that provide stress relief through extreme relaxation provided during the session. Vibrational Sound Therapy works through the actual contact of the singing bowls and the human body.
Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) combines powerful vibration and tones to induce an immediate relaxed state. The induction of the sound waves directly into the body, along with soothing ambient tones, is such a strong treatment that clients report effects ranging from a meditative state to deep relaxation. By placing the “therapeutic” singing bowls directly on the body, and using correct techniques, a practitioner engages with their client both physically, and aurally. Also known as vibrational sound massage.
The techniques associated with VST have many advantages over traditional massage. One major comfort barrier that prevents many people from receiving a traditional massage is fear of being touched by a stranger. In the VST method, the client remains fully clothed and is never touched directly by the practitioner. In fact, because the singing bowl is doing most of the physical work, contact is kept to minimum. This does not diminish the connection between client, and practitioner because spiritual intimacy is maintained through the sound and the vibration transmitted through the bowl. Also, VST is much less physically intrusive than traditional hands-on massage, and won’t leave the client feeling sore.
